Your guide to streaming on VPLIVE.

How do I start streaming?

Starting your stream on VPLIVE is easy! Here's how:

  1. Go to your Dashboard after logging in.
  2. Under "Stream Setup", you'll find your unique Stream Key. Click the eye icon to reveal it and the copy button to copy it.
  3. Open your streaming software (like OBS, Streamlabs, etc.).
  4. Go to the "Stream" settings. Select "Custom" as the service.
  5. For the server, enter: rtmp://live.vplive.gg/live
  6. Paste your copied Stream Key into the "Stream Key" field.
  7. Click "Apply" and start streaming from your software. Your stream will automatically appear live on your VPLIVE page!

Important: Never share your stream key with anyone!

How can I manage my profile and stream info?

You can manage all your stream and profile information from your Dashboard.

  • Stream Title: Update your stream title in the "Stream Information" section to let viewers know what your stream is about.
  • Thumbnail: You can upload a custom thumbnail for your stream. If you don't, a default thumbnail will be generated for you based on your username.
  • Profile Picture: Your profile picture is automatically synced from the service you use to log in (e.g., Discord or another social provider). To change it, update your profile picture on that platform.
How do I use the chat?

Engage with your community using the built-in chat features:

  • Live Chat: The chat panel appears next to your stream, allowing you and your viewers to interact in real-time.
  • Popup Chat for OBS: On your stream page, click the chat settings icon and select "Open Chat in Popup". This opens the chat in a new, clean window. You can then add this as a "Browser Source" in OBS to see your chat while you stream without needing a second monitor.
How can I share my stream?

Sharing your stream is simple. Below the video player on your stream page, you'll find a Share button.

  • On mobile devices, tapping this button will open your phone's native share menu, allowing you to easily send your stream link to friends or post it on social media.
  • On a desktop computer, clicking this button will copy your unique stream URL to your clipboard. You'll see a "Copied!" confirmation. You can then paste the link wherever you like.
How does logging in work?

VPLIVE uses a secure and easy login system.

  • Discord Login: You can sign up or log in using your Discord account. This is the easiest way to get started. Your Discord username and avatar will be automatically synced to your VPLIVE profile.
  • Email & Password: You can also sign up using a traditional email and password combination.
  • Supabase Integration: Our authentication is powered by Supabase, ensuring your account details are always secure.
